There are just two weeks left in the first round of the Premier League Darts season for 2016 so things are getting down to the wire now. Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor are sat top of the table with 11 points so far after playing out a draw last week at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The action moves on to Liverpool this week.
The excitement will be all down the other end of the table though over the next two weeks. The bottom two of the ten will drop out of the competition, leaving the rest to march on competing for the Premier League Darts 2016 title.
Robert Thornton is pretty much toast at the foot of the table with just the one point earned from his seven games played this season. He would need to win his last two matches and then hope that Dave Chisnall or Michael Smith fail to grab a point in their last two matches. Both Smith and Chisnall are on three points each, Chisnall just holding on to eighth spot with a better leg-difference over Smith.
